The Gatineau Police Service on Friday issued a request for public assistance in locating a 13-year-old who had been missing since noon on Thursday.

Meagane Poulin had last been seen near rue Mance in the Hull-Wright (Vieux-Hull) district, but might be on the Ontario side of the Ottawa River, a media release said.

Poulin was described as standing five feet (1.52 metres) tall and weighing 120 pounds (54 kilograms). She has dark, shoulder-length hair and a nose-piercing, and she speaks French.
When last seen, Poulin was wearing grey slacks, a red and black quilted North Face coat, a grey sweater and white running shoes.
Anyone with information about Poulin’s whereabouts was asked to contact Gatineau police at 819-246-0222.
