City transit service general manager Renée Amilcar reported in a memo to council Saturday that a wire supporting the overhead power system snapped just before midnight.

Just before 6 a.m., OC Transpo reported a mechanical failure between St-Laurent and Blair stations via Twitter.
R1 route buses have replaced trains on that section of the route. Train service is running normally along the rest of the line.
In a memo to city council, transit services GM Renée Amilcar said a wire that supports the overhead catenary power system, called a “parafil,” snapped just before midnight near Cyrville Station.
Late night service continued to run on the entire line, with just one track available between Tremblay and Blair stations.
